At St. Dymphna Farms, beauty is our mission. We want to grow beautiful flowers in a beautiful way and bring the utmost beauty to people. This is why we are committed to thoughtful methods and systems, from seed to stem. Our flowers are grown from seeds that have not been treated or genetically modified; most are certified organic.

In the growing process, we are gung-ho about avoiding plastic. Instead of plastic seed trays, we use soil blocks and homemade cedar trays. Instead of poly plastic shade cloth, we use burlap. Instead of plastic-coated nitrogen fertilizers, we use wool. Our dream is to implement a plastic-free drip system. Anything to minimize contamination by macro or micro plastics.

Bringing life to our soils and support to our local ecosystems is a big part of our mission. We implement regenerative practices like no tilling, mulching, and intercropping to build the biology of the soil. We don’t spray anything. In the future, we look forward to helping our little pollinators by planting more natives.
